Throughout history, airborne diseases have been a constant companion. In the past 20 years, we have had more than 30 outbreaks of infectious diseases
according to data from the World Health Organization - and we are still in the grips of the most recent one, resulting in more than 5 million deaths. Worldwide, these annual epidemics are estimated to result in about 3 to 5 million cases of severe illness, and about 650 000
influenza-related deaths, and 3,9 million respiratory deaths. This is a large-scale issue that can not be taken lightly.
We need to do something!
